Everest Base Camp Trek is a very popular and most visited trekking place in Nepal. The altitude of Everest is 8,848.86 meters. We Wilderness Outdoors Pvt ltd organized an Everest Base Camp trek for the Adventurous peoples of all around the world. The highest altitude we’ll climb is 5364m at the base camp. The trail leads you to different kinds of flora and fauna like Birch Juniper, Blue Pines, Musk Deer, Snow Leopard, Himalayan Black Bear, and Red Panda.

Interesting Fact: Mt. Everest is also known as ‘Sagarmatha’ in Nepali Language which means Goddess of the Sky and ‘Chomolungma’ in Tibetan language which means the mother goddess of the World.

Religion and Cultures

Most of the people of this area follow the Buddhist religion. The ethnic groups that live in the Everest region are Sherpas, Tamangs, and Rais. One of the most important festivals of the Sherpa community is Dumji. Mani Rimdu is also the main festival in the Everest region. It is also one of the most celebrated religious festivals in the mountain region of Nepal. 

Best Time to do Everest Base Camp Trek

Spring: Last week of February – First week of June

Spring is the best time to trek to Everest as the winter season just ends. In the spring, dormant plants start to grow once again, fresh seedlings appear, and animals that have been hibernating come out of their hibernation. Nepalese celebrate a number of festivals in the spring as a way of welcoming the new year. They celebrate festivals like Shivaratri, Holi, and many more around the country. It is also the time when the national flower of the country, Rhododendron blooms. You can get to see Rhododendrons above an altitude of 2000m and many different flowers as well. As the rainy season hasn’t started yet, it is the perfect time for trekking as there are very less chances of landslides which makes your adventure very safe as well.

Autumn: Last week of August – First week of December

Autumn is also the best time to trek to Everest as the main features of the autumn season are mild weather, clear skies, and beautiful clouds that appear in the afternoon. It is also the time when different kinds of flowers bloom such as Marigolds.

Interesting Fact: For the Nepalese, the marigold is a special flower that is used in gardens, pots outside of homes, garlands, and to decorate homes during festivals and temples.

It is the time when Different festivals are celebrated by the locals. It is a wonderful chance to become immersed in Nepali culture and tradition and learn about the country that is more than just the mountains. There are also high chances of snowfall above 3000m altitude.


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and stay in Hotel.

  • Arrive in Kathmandu (Alt. 1400m), our office representative will pick you up from the airport and will drive you to the hotel (Approx. 45min).
  • We’ll give a short briefing about your trekking trip and we’ll explain everything about your trips like accommodation, includes, excludes and others.
  • Evening, explore around the nearest Trekking Gear Shop and get all the necessary Trekking gears and equipment that you have forgotten to bring with you to be prepared for the trekking.
  • Spend the night at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding

  • We’ll drive from the hotel to the domestic airport early in the morning (Approx. 30min) and fly to Lukla (Alt. 2860m) (Approx. 35min) and have breakfast at a teahouse.
  • Then we’ll start the trek to Phakding (Situated by the riverside) (Alt. 2610m) crossing through Dudhkoshi river trail and Pine & Hemlock forest which leads you toward the overnight Camp (Approx. 5-6 hrs).
Day 3: Trek from Phakding to Namche

  • In the Morning, we’ll have breakfast and start the trek to Namche (Alt. 3440m), the trail that leads with a Suspension bridge across Dudh Koshi river with Pine and Rhododendron forest (Approx. 5-6 hrs).
  • Interesting Fact: Rhododendron is the national flower of Nepal.
    On the way, we perceive Sherpa Village like Monjo and Jorsale and the living lifestyle of the people.
  • We’ll spend the night at the Teahouse/Lodger at Namche.
Day 4: Acclimatization Day, Explore around Namche

  • Day 4 will be the Acclimatization day at the altitude of 3440m in Namche Bazaar to adjust your body to high altitude and avoid altitude sickness later during the trekking. 
  • We’ll explore around and visit the Sherpa Museum and the Tenzing Norge statue in Namche Bazar. Where you can get information about Sherpa Culture, tradition, religion, and the Sherpa Climber as well.
  • We’ll explore other main attraction places like the Healing center, Namche Library, and Namche Monastery. 
  • We’ll again spend the night at the Teahouse/Lodge at Namche.
Day 5: Trek from Namche to Tengboche

  • In the Morning, after having breakfast the trail leads you towards Tengboche (Alt. 3863m) getting to see the panoramic view of mountains, mane wall, and WOW view of Mount Ama Dablam (Ht. 6812m) which is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Everest region.
  • We’ll then visit and explore the Tibetan Buddhist Monastery for the Sherpa Community of the Khumbu region, the largest Monastery in the Everest region.
  • We’ll hike up to the trail slowly between Mt. Ama Dabla, Mt. Lhotse Nuptse, and the other highest mountains.
  • Overnight at Teahouse/Lodge at Tengboche after approx. 5/6hrs of Trek.
Day 6: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche

  • After breakfast in the morning, we’ll start our trek to Dingboche (Alt. 4360m) with a wilderness trail. Dingboche is a high-altitude Sherpa Village in the Khumbu area. We’ll get to see many Chortens, Mani Walls, and Sherpa Village with stunning and spectacular views of Mt. Ama Dablam and other mountains.
  • On the way, we’ll see a farming field surrounded by stone to protect from yak and other animals found in this area. Mainly People grow Barley, Buckwheat, and potatoes in this area. 
  • Overnight at Teahouse/Lodge at Dingboche after approx. 5/6hrs of Trek.
Day 7: Acclimatization day Explore around Dingboche

  • It’ll be an Acclimatization day, we’ll explore around and adjust your body with the altitude. 
  • The next day we will trek at around 5000m altitude.
Day 8: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche

  • In the Morning, we’ll trek up to Lobuche (Alt. 4931m) along with Khumbu drain. The trail leads to the huge Khumbu Glacier.
  • As we cross the Thukla Pass (Alt. 4615m), we can see a memorable statue of the climber who died in the Everest area. 
  • Overnight at Teahouse/Lodge at Lobuche after approx. 5/6hrs of Trek.
Day 9: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp and trek to Gorak Shep

  • In the morning, we’ll start the Trek to Gorakshep in Glacier Moraine (Approx. 1/2hrs).
  • We’ll have lunch and in the afternoon, we’ll hike to Everest Base Camp (Alt. 5364m) (Approx. 1\2hrs).
  • We’ll see Everest from the foot of Khumbu icefall. On the other side of Base Camp, we can see many tents of climbers for the Everest expedition. 
  • We’ll get to see gorgeous views of other mountains such as Pumori, Nuptse, Changtse, Ama Dablam, Taweche, Kantega, and Everest. 
  • We’ll explore around, and take photographs and videos for your lifetime memory of the top of the world base camp. 
  • We’ll Trek back to Gorak Shep. 
  • Overnight at Teahouse/Lodge at Gorak Shep after approx. 6/7hrs of Trek.
Day 10: Morning Visit Kala Patthar and trek to Pheriche

  • Early morning trek to Kala Patthar (Alt.5545m) (Approx.1/2hrs). 
  • We’ll get to see the morning sunrise view between Nuptse (Ht. 7861m) and Everest (Ht. 8848.86m), a stunning and gorgeous view from Kala Patthar.
  • We will perceive a 360° Panoramic view of the Mahalangur Himalayan Range which includes Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. 
  • We’ll then return back to Gorakshep, have breakfast, and trek down to Pheriche.
  • Overnight at Teahouse/Lodge at Pheriche approx. 6/7hrs of Trek.
Day 11: Trek from Pheriche to Namche

  • After having breakfast, we trek down to Namche with lifetime memories of Everest trekking. 
  • After a long day, we’ll trek down to Namche by the evening and have a relaxing dinner party with the team for the success of Everest Base camp trekking. 
  • Overnight at Namche approx. 6/7hrs of Trek
Day 12: Trek from Namche to Lukla

  • In the Morning, we’ll trek back to Lukla (Approx. 5/6hrs).
  • On the last day of trekking, time to say goodbye to the Khumbu region with 
  • After arriving in Lukla, we spent the evening exploring Lukla Market and enjoying our last dinner at the mountain. 
  • Overnight at Lukla approx. 5/6hrs of Trek.
Day 13: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

  • Early in the morning, we’ll have breakfast and fly back to Kathmandu (Approx. 35/40 min). 
  • You’ll meet our office representative at the airport and they will transfer you to the hotel. 
  • Last day, Pack your baggage and in the afternoon, you can visit thamel markets to buy vintage gifts for your family from the land of the Himalayas. 
  • We’ll have dinner with the office team sharing your experience and review with our team about the Everest region. 
  • Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 14: Final Departure with good memories of Nepal

  • The final day of your departure to your home country with memories of Everest. 
  • Checking-out from your hotel and we’ll drop you at the airport.
