Project Information

Ta’igara: An Adventure in the Himalayas (The Tiger Nest) is an Italian movie. The story of the movie is based on Nepal. Before the start of his career, Brando Quilici used to work for a television network, and when he was with National Geography, he used to visit Nepal for documentaries about honey hunters, mountains, and other adventure places. Brando had visited Nepal several times and was well-versed in its geography. The story of the film and the locations in Nepal are both interesting and cost-effective; Nepal is a popular filming location, so Brando Quilici, the film’s director, decided to shoot the majority of the scenes there. Nepal is well-known for its Royal Bengal Tiger (Pate Bagh) habitats, so the story of the film is about saving the tiger from poachers, which is why Brando Quilici believes Nepal is the best location for his film.

Mr. Brando Quilici, director, producer, and writer of Ta’igara: An Adventure in the Himalayas (The Tiger Nest), travels to Nepal with his team in early 2019 to scout locations for his film. Our founder, Mr. Bhuwan Bharati, was appointed to a location scout team from Nepal. We took them to all the possible places in Nepal as per the director’s suggestion. After their 15 days of location scouting, they went back to Italy. Again, a few months later, Brando Quilici comes to Nepal with his team for the preparation of shooting in Nepal, and we fix all the possible things needed for his shooting in Nepal. In 2020, they plan to film in Bhaktpur, Bauddhanath, Mustang, Namobuddha, Chitwan, and Sankuwashaba.Unfortunately, COVID has spread all over the world, and the WHO has declared it a pandemic for the year 2020, so they could not come to Nepal because of lockdown. Later on in 2021, in April, COVID cases are decreasing and everything is under control, so at the same time they decide to come to Nepal and start their shooting. Because the film was entirely set in Nepal, they spent two months there. They shoot in some parts of Muastang.

Our founder, Mr. Bhuwan Bharati, was assisting the production team for the movie. We collaborated with the film on some of the locations, such as Chitwan, Bhaktpur, Namo Buddha, and the Everest region, but not on all of them. But give us your complete attention to ensure a successful film shoot in Nepal. We work in the production part, but we assist most of the departments in the movie, like location, art, cast and crew arrangements, etc.
